It's Simple - North Dakota Students Can't Learn When They're Hungry

Hunger Knows No Boundaries - There are hungry children in each of North Dakota's 53 counties

Across North Dakota, many families face challenges ensuring their children have access to meals at school. We must support solutions that remove barriers to school meal access, ensuring every student can focus on their education without worrying about where their next meal will come from.

Now is the time to invest in the well-being of our children and the future of North Dakota.

Providing critical meals for students can help:

Boost Student Success: well-fed students are more attentive in class, have higher attendance and perform better academically - leading to increased graduation rates and brighter futures.

Ease Cost-related Burdens: expanding access to school meals can put real money, up to $850 per child per year, back in the pockets of hardworking families, which can be used on grocery expenses and help provide a lifeline amidst rising costs of living.

Support Working Families: guaranteeing at least one meal a day at school helps North Dakota families focus on work while giving students the fuel they need to grow, learn and thrive. Provide a reliable, nutritious food source for students each school day
